Community Health of Central Wyoming is excited to announce the addition of a new pediatric provider, Wyatt Barrus P.A., coming soon to our Riverton Clinic!
Wyatt grew up and went to high school in Grantsville, Utah (a small town in Northwest Utah). After high school he served a two-year volunteer mission for his church in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon returning home from his mission, Wyatt graduated from Utah State University, majoring in Integrated Studies with a Health Sciences emphasis. Wyatt graduates this August from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah. During his time at Rocky Mountain, Wyatt was honored to be selected as a National Health Service Corps Scholarship recipient.
Before PA school, Wyatt gained experience working in urgent care and in an ear, nose, throat clinic. It was during this time that he became passionate about patient education and evidence-based medicine. As a provider, he hopes to help his patients become educated about their conditions so they can be more capable of healthy living. Wyatt also believes in staying up-to-date with practice guidelines in order to give his patients the highest quality of care possible.
Wyatt enjoys spending time outdoors in his free time. He has a particular interest in fishing, but also enjoys hunting, hiking, and camping. Sports are also a passion of his, especially baseball. Wyatt played baseball for 3 years in college before turning his focus to medicine. In 2020, Wyatt married the love of his life and he and his wife are now expecting their first child in August. Family is the first priority in Wyatt’s life and he looks forward to helping keep families healthy in his role with CHCCW.
